Heidi put in a huge effort to lose more than 30 pounds after her pregnancy, and now she looks better than ever.</p>
<p>German supermodel explained how she was able to get in shape so fast. Her trainer, David Kirsch, put her on a strict diet and exercise regime. <em><strong>“He stocked my fridge with the foods I should be eating and taught me how to cook healthy dishes.”</strong></em></p>
<p>Her diet consisted largely of vegetables and salads.</p>
<p>Some rules:</p>
<p>1. The first 2 weeks Heidi avoided all foods that cause bloating. That means no dairy and no fruits.</p>
<p>2. Eat really healthy carbohydrates like tuna and tomatoes, lean meats or a bowl of eggs.<em><strong> “Keep a bowl of hard-boiled eggs on hand - eat one every time you feel hungry.”</strong></em></p>
<p>3. Go to bed earlier.<br />
<em><strong>“Late nights are often the time when people snack, so make sure you’re in bed at a decent hour. Plus make sure you don’t eat after 7:00 p.m. because you won’t have enough time to burn off the food before you go to sleep.”<br />
</strong></em><br />
4. No alcohol, no bread, no starchy carbohydrates.</p>
<p>5. Think positively – very important.<br />
<em><strong>“Make sure you follow the three core tenets of the program: sound eating, sound exercising and sound thinking.”<br />
</strong></em><br />
6. Always plan and organise your meals for the day and only buy the food you need.</p>
<p>7. Cook a lot. Then you can eat it over a couple of days, instead of cooking everyday.</p>
<p>8. Eat five meals a day.<br />
<em><strong>&#8220;Eat from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Every 3 hours.  Eat a small, healthy meals. That it’s the best way to lose weight. I’d suggest you follow each day for two weeks.”<br />
</strong></em><br />
A highly intensive, 14 – day training and nutritional program guaranteed to achieve specific optimal results.</p>
<p><em>Here’s an example of a meal plan:<br />
</em><br />
<em><strong>BREAKFAST: </strong></em>A protein shake.<br />
<em><strong>SNACK:</strong></em> Omelette (whites) with spinach or tomatoes.<br />
<em><strong>LUNCH:</strong></em> A grilled salmon filet with a leafy green salad.<br />
<em><strong>SNACK:</strong></em> Some chopped celery, red peppers, broccoly.<br />
<em><strong>DINNER: </strong></em>This must be very light - chicken with some steamed fresh vegetables.</p>
<p>Also: To achieve her phenomenal weight loss - 90 minute workouts at the gym. Four days a week follows a strict program of cardio, strength training and aerobic exercise.</p>
<p>Heidi Klum is expecting her fourth child. The 35-year-old supermodel said her children - Leni, Henry and Johan as well as her husband – the singer Seal were all thrilled.</p>

There are many different kinds of rice:  jasmine rice, basmati rice, sweet purple rice, sweet black rice, wild rice, sushi rice, brown rice, long grain white rice, long grain brown rice, red rice and etc. There are many differences between the rice - how long they take to cook, how long they take to digest, differences in taste and in nutritive properties.</p>
<p>The rice contains a lot of carbohydrates, sugar, dietary fibres (very good for digestive system), Proteins, Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B9, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium, Zinc and Manganese.</p>
<p>The Rice diet will give you all the nutrition that you will need while your body cleanses and heals itself.  You don’t have to go hungry, and you don’t have to count every calorie or pay attention to the selection of food.  You eat whenever you are hungry and as often as you like. It is better to eat several small meals per day, rather than 2-3 large ones.<br />
By following the diet properly for 1 month, women lose an average of 20 pounds, while men lose an average of 30 pounds (everything is individual, depending on your gender and how much weight you have to lose). If you are very overweight you should lose more.</p>
<p>The name Rice Diet is somewhat confusing (the diet origins being the study of rice as a staple), as more than 30 food items are available, including a number of rice.<br />
The author of the Rice Diet is Walter Kempner, born in Germany 1903.  Kempner investigated the effect of diet on diseases including hypertension and diabetes, obesity, heart disease, renal disease and found that they were rarely problems for people using rice as a staple food. He developed a diet of rice, fruit, juices plus vitamin and iron supplements to help people with these and related health problems. With this diet the people rapidly lose weight for period of 2 to 4 weeks or more. The Rice Diet has been used since 1939 in treating, often with dramatic results, more than 18,000 patients from around the world.</p>
<p>Basic rules of thumb on serving sizes:</p>
<ul>
<li> 1 Starch (1 slice whole - grain bread, 1/3 cup cooked rice  or 1/3 cup cooked pasta)</li>
<li> 1 Fruit (1 medium sized fruit or 1/2 cup cut fruits)</li>
<li> 1 Vegetable (1 cup raw or 1/2 cup cooked)</li>
<li> 1 Dairy ( 1 cup milk, 1 cup  non – fat yogurt or 1/2 cup cottage cheese).</li>
</ul>
<p><em><strong>Day </strong></em><strong>1 </strong><br />
Breakfast: starches + fruits or vegetables<br />
Lunch: starches + fruits or vegetables<br />
Dinner: starches + fruits or vegetables</p>
<p><em><strong>Day </strong></em><strong>2</strong><br />
Breakfast: 1 starch or 1 non-fat dairy or 1 fruit<br />
Lunch: 2 starches or 1 vegetable or 1 fruit<br />
Dinner: 2 starches or 1 vegetable or 1 fruit</p>
<p><em><strong>Day </strong></em><strong>3</strong><br />
Depending on the taste: choose from a range of items comprising fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, fish, and rice, legumes, non – fat dairy, varied daily.</p>
<p><strong>What You Can Eat?</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>RICE</strong> (brown, white, long grain…etc.). Other foods allowed are lentils, rice cakes (unsalted), non-fat yogurt, ocean-going fish, chicken (free range) and tofu.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong> VEGETABLES:</strong>All kinds of vegetables can be eaten (except for corn and mushrooms).  Make sure to wash them very well. They can be eaten raw, lightly steamed or baked.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li><strong> FRUITS:</strong> apple, apricot, pear, cherry, kiwi, strawberry, blueberry, (except for bananas, dried fruit, oranges and orange juice). Eat fruit by itself: 1/2 hour before or 1-2 hours after a meal.</li>
<li><strong> CONDIMENTS:</strong>Extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice-freshly squeezed, herbs and spices (fresh garlic, ginger), mustard, cayenne pepper</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li> <strong>BEVERAGES:</strong><br />
Spring water, mineral water, filtered, distilled water<br />
Herbal teas (chamomile, green tea, jasmine, mint)<br />
Fruit and vegetable juice – fresh (dilute juices with water 50/50). The best is fresh pressed from a juicer, otherwise with no additives, sugar or chemicals. Drink liquids 1/2 hour before or 1 hour after eating for better digestion. Do not drink with your meals, as this dilutes the enzymes in the stomach needed to properly digest the food eaten.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What’s restricted and banned?</strong><br />
1. SALT is restricted in the Rice diet, because this diet is not only for weight loss but for overall health as well. The body swells from too much salt (sodium) and water, therefore making you feel bloated and leaving you feeling tired all of the time. When you limit your salt intake you will find that in a matter of days you will feel like a new person. Salt is a problem for patients with high blood pressure, heart disease and kidney failure.<br />
2. No frozen, canned or jarred products should be eaten.<br />
3. Absolutely no shellfish (i.e. shrimps, oysters, scallops, clams, lobster, etc.)<br />
4. No sugar and fat.</p>
<p><strong>NOTES: </strong><br />
After the Rice diet, it is important to come off the diet gradually.  Don’t forget to eat healthy. More vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, fresh juice, tea, spring water. Forget about sweet temptations (like candy, cake, chocolate, white sugar, ice cream, etc.). This way can be a very difficult venture. Try your best and concentrate on what you are able to do, not what you aren’t able to. It&#8217;s also a challenge when you eat out or attend social events.</p>
<p><strong>Tips:</strong><br />
<strong>• </strong> <strong>How to Cook Rice?</strong><br />
1. Rinse the rice until the water is clear and not cloudy.<br />
2. Combine rice and water (for every cup of rice, add 1 1/2 cups water).<br />
3. Bring the rice to a boil, uncovered, at medium heat.<br />
4. When the rice is boiling, turn the heat down to medium low.<br />
5. Place the lid on the pot, tilting it to allow steam to escape.<br />
6. After the rice has been cooking for a few minutes, check for holes and “craters”.<br />
6. When you can see the holes or craters, put the lid on tight. Turn the heat down to low.<br />
7. Simmer the covered rice for another 15 minutes. Fluff it up with a fork and serve hot.<br />
<strong>• </strong> <strong> For beginners</strong> - use rice cooker.</p>
<p><strong>CON:</strong><br />
1. Inflexible, strict diets tend to be short-term fixes because dieters grow weary of the rules and cannot sustain the program for a lifetime. And with such diets it&#8217;s questionable whether lost weight will be kept off when the likelihood is that the dieter will return to old eating habits.<br />
2. The Rice Diet may be a good kick-start to a healthier lifestyle but probably is too difficult to sustain long-term. Which means such an inflexible and low-calorie diet is hard to sustain, could trigger binging, and has the potential for nutritional deficiencies.</p>
<p><strong>PRO:</strong><br />
The diet has some very good components including:<br />
1. After1 month period: lower blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and successfully lose weight. When you come off fried foods, coffee, processed foods, and sugar and shift to more natural, raw food, your body feel better, migraine go away, symptoms for fibromyalgia (or FM is a chronic, complex pain syndrome involving widespread musculoskeletal pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance and etc.) disappear and you no longer crave unhealthy food.<br />
2. Limiting salt reduces several health risks, including cholesterol, blood pressure, heart disease, weight loss, stress reduction as well as reducing the need to medicate for these problems.<br />
3. Lifestyle changes and an emphasis on whole foods.<br />
4. It consists of a very low-calorie, high-complex carbohydrate, low-sodium, low-fat, low-sugar, low-protein, whole-foods diet designed to detoxify, cause and prevent or reverse chronic diseases and keep you feeling full and satisfied.<br />
5. The Rice Diet is a wonderful, healthy and easy way to lose weight fast. This diet is so simple to do and because you&#8217;re allowed to eat starches and never feel hungry or starving.</p>
<p><em><strong>Are supplements recommended?</strong></em><br />
Yes, this diet is low in iron and vitamin D and suggest a once daily – multivitamin with minerals plus exercises.<br />
Exercises such as yoga, walking or swimming are strongly recommended. One hour of physical activity is recommended daily, but even if you cannot achieve the one hour daily recommendations, some daily exercise is better than none at all.</p>
<p><strong>Terms and conditions: </strong><br />

<strong>Atkins Diet is a high protein, low carbohydrate diet.</strong><br />
Low - carb diet is dietary program that restrict carbohydrate consumption usually for weight control. Foods high in digestible carbohydrates are limited or replaced with foods containing a higher percentage of proteins and fats. This diet promotes using meat, eggs, and cheese while discouraging high carbohydrate-content foods such as bread and rice. According to Robert Atkins (the author of this diet), on having a low carbohydrate diet, our body will enter into a state of ketosis, in which, instead of carbohydrates, fat is digested to release energy. This reduces the need for more insulin produced by the pancreatic cells and the fat deposits are subsided. Thus, the body weight is reduced to a considerable amount.<br />
The Atkins nutritional philosophy is that carbohydrates are weight gain culprits that are converted into fat by the body’s insulin, and that restricting processed and refined carbohydrates will cause weight to plummet healthily.</p>
<p><strong>Phases</strong><br />
There are 4 phases of the Atkins diet:<br />
<strong>1. Induction Phase</strong>- most restrictive- and minimum of 2 weeks. During this time are permitted to eat no more than 20 grams of carbohydrates per day. (The 20 gram carbohydrates limit is generally derived from trace amounts of carbohydrates in sauces, dressings, cheeses and a couple cups of lettuce greens or vegetables daily). During these two weeks, participants are not allowed to have any, fruits, bread, pasta, grains, starchy vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, dairy products, cereals, or high GI (glycemic index) vegetables such as carrots, potatoes, peas and corn. The Induction phase is usually when many see the most significant weight loss — from 5-6 to 10 pounds per week. During this induction phase only fats, meats, and certain cheeses are allowed, keeping your carbohydrate intake extremely low, almost to none. This puts your body into ketosis.</p>

<p><strong>2. Ongoing Weight Loss Phase (OWL)</strong> - consists of an increase in carbohydrate intake, but remaining at levels where weight loss occurs. The target daily carbohydrate intake increases each week by 5 net grams. The OWL phase lasts until weight is within 10 -12 pounds (5 kg) of the target weight.</p>
<p><strong>3. Pre-maintenance Phase</strong> -Carbohydrate intake is increased again this time by 10 net carbohydrates a week. Pre-maintenance phase of Dr. Atkins diet was meant to get ready for the future low carbohydrate diet. Weight-loss is already done.</p>
<p><strong> 4. Lifetime Maintenance Phase</strong> - the fourth and the final phase suggesting that running to old bad habits is forbidden.</p>
<p><strong>Allowed foods:</strong><br />
<strong>Meat</strong> – pork, lamb, beef, veal, chicken, turkey, duck, goose (except liver).<br />
<strong>Fish</strong> - tuna, salmon, sardines and herring.<br />
<strong>Shellfish</strong> - lobster, clams, shrimps and crabmeat.<br />
<strong>Eggs</strong> – in any ways that you can prepare (scrambled, fried, soft-boiled, hard-boiled, omelete)<br />
<strong>Cheese </strong>– Parmesan, Cheddar, Gouda, Gorgonzola, Roquefort and other blue cheeses, Brie, Camembert, Cottage, Ricotta, Swiss cheese<br />
<strong>Butter, margarine, mayonnaise, cream,</strong><strong> </strong>(all fat are allowed)<br />
<strong>Oil </strong>- cold-pressed or expeller-pressed oils are strongly suggested.<br />
<strong>Bacon and ham, salami and sausages, hot-dog</strong><br />
<strong>Vegetables</strong> – eggplant, spinach, bean sprouts, artichoke hearts, broccoli, zucchini, tomato, turnips, squash, cabbage, cauliflower, celery roots, head lettuce, chicory, cucumber, radishes, green leaf lettuce (restriction for carrots, peas, corn, potatoes).<br />
<strong>Spices and herbs</strong> – garlic, onion, cayenne pepper, basil, rosemary, sage, dill, oregano, pepper, tarragon, thyme, cilantro, ginger<br />
<strong>Fruits </strong>– mango, kiwi, apple, cherries, peach, grapes, grapefruit. Avoid high glycemic index (GI) fruits such as watermelon, bananas and pineapple.</p>
<p><strong>Banned Foods:</strong><a href="http://www.worlddietsnews.com/?attachment_id=1547" rel="attachment wp-att-1547" title="Atkins Diet"><img src="http://www.worlddietsnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/bread2.jpg" alt="Atkins Diet" align="right" height="125" width="185" /></a><br />
<em><strong>Bread, pastry, cakes </strong></em>- all kinds<em><strong><br />
Spaghetti, pasta<br />
Milk, yoghurt<br />
Sugar, syrup<br />

<strong>Acceptable Beverages:</strong><br />
Be sure to drink a minimum of six – eight glasses of water each day, including:<br />
•    <strong>Filtered water, Mineral water, Spring water and Tap water</strong><br />
Additionally, you can have the following:<br />
•   <strong> Clear Broth/Bouillon</strong> (not all brands, read the label)<br />
•    <strong>Club Soda, Diet Soda</strong><br />
•    <strong>Decaffeinated Coffee</strong>. Everyone should try to avoid caffeine. Also grain beverages (coffee substitutes) are not allowed.<br />
•  <strong>  Tea</strong> (only green, herb)<br />
•    <strong>Lime (lemon)  juice</strong> - (limit to two or three tablespoons a day)<br />
•   <strong> Alcoholic beverages</strong> (beer, liqueur) are also not permitted during Induction Phase. Those low in carbohydrates are an option, in moderation, in later phases.</p>
<p><strong>PRO:</strong><br />
1. The advantage for dieters - they get to eat meat, bacon, cheese, eggs, and fats (including butter, mayonnaise and oil).<br />
2. The followers lose weight more quickly than more traditional plans without serious effects on health.<br />
3. They stop consuming junk food and processed food.<br />
4. Eat nutrient rich carbohydrates, like leafy green vegetables, plus other vegetables and some fruits.<br />
5. Lose weight without going hungry.<br />
6. Never count calories or points again.</p>
<p><strong>CON:</strong><br />
1. Extremely high protein diets, like Atkins diet, can lead to acidic urine. Acidic urine leaches calcium from the body, which significantly increases one&#8217;s risk for osteoporosis and kidney stones.<br />
2. However, it is important to contact a healthcare professional before starting Atkins diet, especially if you are at risk for high cholesterol, kidney disorders, coronary heart disease, stroke and diabetes.<br />
3. The Atkins Diet goes against much of the established advice of the previously held ideals in the health community in its acceptance of high fat and meat intake.<br />
4. Most people may have a very difficult time with they must fundamentally change the way they eat on a long-term basis, eliminating potatoes, rice, pasta, bread and sweets.</p>

The acid in the lemons assists the cleansing process, and the cayenne pepper helps speed up your metabolism, promoting circulation and a greater release of toxins from your body. This Detox will help you cleanse your body, lose weight quickly, and make you feel better overall.</p>
<p>The detox drink is quite simple to make. Take one gallon jug and pour in the following:</p>

1. On the first day after your diet, drink unsweetened fruit juices.<br />
2. On the second day, you can begin to eat soup.<br />
3. On the third day you may begin to eat light foods.<br />

<li>1 small cabbage</li>

<li>1 cube of bouillon (optional)</li>

<li>Season for taste: salt, black pepper, parsley, curry, garlic powder, bay leaf and etc.</li>

<p><strong>Directions:</strong><br />
Cut the cabbage, green-pepper, onions, carrots and celery into bite size pieces.<br />
Add into large pot.<br />
If you would like a spicy soup, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.<br />
You can use chicken bouillon cube for seasonings.<br />
Use about 6 - 8 cups of water, 2 cans chicken broth, 1 can V8, 2 cans tomato juice. Cover and turn heat on low.<br />
Don’t cook this soup for a long time.</p>

<p>The Russian diet must be observed more than two months. It’s not recommended to use: chilli pepper, strong mustard, dipping sauce or mayonnaise. <em><strong>Lunch:</strong></em> half roast-chicken and 150 grams the greens by the choice.<br />

<p>The next week you can repeat the diet.</p>

This flick stars Hilary Swank as a female amateur boxer training to make her mark on the boxing scene.<br />
&#8220;<em>Problem is, this is the only thing I ever felt good doing. If I’m too old for this then I got nothing. Is that enough truth to suit you? They asked me to put on 10 pounds of muscle and I put on approximately 20 pounds of muscle. Just because I really wanted it to be believable. </em>&#8220;That entailed:</p>

<p>She continued: <em>&#8220;I have a really high metabolism. Exercise is also really important to me. &#8220;I think it gives me more energy. I would rather sleep six hours and get an hour workout than sleep seven</em> <em>hours</em>. Thought calorie counts are listed for Hilary Swanks diet, Garcia emphasizes that this is not a calorie-based plan.<br />
<em> &#8220;And now I’m glad that’s all behind me.&#8221;</em></p>
<p><em><strong>Hilary Swank diet plan:</strong></em></p>
<p><strong>Breakfast:</strong> 1 hole egg + 2 egg whites, tomato and spinach Omelette , 1 cup fresh berries.<br />
<strong>Snack: </strong> protein shake<br />
<strong>Lunch:</strong> 6 jumbo shrimp with mixed greens, ½ small avocado.<br />
<strong>Snack</strong>: 1 slice 9-grain bread with peanut butter and 1 tbsp. fruit jam.<br />
<strong>Dinner:</strong>  chicken with rice and beans, 1 cup steamed vegetables.<br />
<strong>Dessert:</strong>  fresh fruit salad.</p>
<p>Hilary says the training was extreme. <em>”It’s the hardest most challenging workout you can ever, ever experience, ever. And I’m really athletic.”</em><br />
The training worked it is magic. As Hilary won a best actress Oscar for the role.
