Maple Syrup Diet
The Maple Syrup Diet, also known as the Master Cleanse Diet, the Lemon Detox Diet, Beyonce’s Diet or just the Lemonade Diet which can supposed be used for 3-10 days safely.
It’s a liquid diet regime based on MadalBal, a 100% natural drink made from a special
organic natural tree syrup, or Organic Maple Syrup, mixed with fresh lemon juice, water and just a pinch of cayenne pepper.
The acid in the lemons assists the cleansing process, and the cayenne pepper helps speed up your metabolism, promoting circulation and a greater release of toxins from your body. This Detox will help you cleanse your body, lose weight quickly, and make you feel better overall.

The detox drink is quite simple to make. Take one gallon jug and pour in the following:

  • 3 quarts of fresh spring water
  • 1 cup of fresh lemon juice (squeezed). Do not use concentrate or a drink mix, as these contain preservatives.
  • 1 cup pure Maple Syrup (organic or natural, no maple flavoured syrups)
  • 1 tsp. of cayenne pepper (adjust to taste).
  • Mix the ingredients and dilute with half a pint of warm or cold water.

Drink as much as you like - ideally 6 to 9 glasses a day.
For the beginners, a shorter period is recommended – 5 to 7 days.
For those more experienced at detoxing-10 days. During the programme, drink only the recommended liquids.
Do not eat any solid foods.
If you are on any medication do not go off your medication without consulting your doctor.

Warning: You will experience cravings, aches, pains, mental irritability and fatigue. These are symptoms of your body’s detoxification.

Pro:
Cleanse your body of accumulated toxins
Greater resistance to illness
Improved concentration
Increased energy and vitality
Clearer skin and eyes
Shinier hair and stronger nails
Happier, more positive outlook
Safely lose excess weight

If you really want to flush your system, proponents of this diet recommend doing the following:
1. Every morning, before your “syrup”, mix two teaspoons of the sea salt with a quart of water. Make sure you are near a toilet and have about an hour to spare. You’ll need it.
2. Every night, drink a cup of your laxative tea (with mild lax effect).

The detox diet was largely promoted by singer Beyonce, who was quoted as saying: “I lived on water, cayenne pepper, lemon and maple syrup for 14 days. It was tough. Everyone was eating and I was dying”.
BeyoncĂ© says she went on a liquid diet to lose 20 lbs. for her role in the movie “Dreamgirls”– but she doesn’t suggest that other people do the same. But, in two weeks she reportedly lost 20 pounds.
In the film, based on the Broadway musical and due in theatres in December, BeyoncĂ© plays the svelte lead singer of a ’60s girl group loosely based on the Supremes. “It’s great because I look at (the movie) and I don’t recognize myself – which was the point,” she told GMTV.
But she’s happy her liquid-diet days are over. “The funniest part was putting the weight back on and eating my doughnuts and all the other things,” she said. “So now I’m back to my body. I’m very conscious of being a curvy woman and I’m very happy that I am a curvy woman.”

Recommendation:
1. On the first day after your diet, drink unsweetened fruit juices.
2. On the second day, you can begin to eat soup.
3. On the third day you may begin to eat light foods.
Whatever you do, do not “wake up” your digestive system with high fat foods. It could be a very painful awakening.

Terms and conditions:
If you are pregnant, or you are allergic to certain food, or you have any medical problems, do not fallow this diet before to consult with your family doctor.

I did this diet 2 years ago and lost around 8-9 kg.(approx.17-18 pounds). I used Canadian maple syrup which is
    not expensive.
