Hilary Swank’s Fitness Secret: Good Genes
“I think I’ve been blessed with my father’s metabolism,” the double Oscar winner said.
“I trained 4 to four and a half hours every six days a week, for 3 months.Before I started filming, and then as I filmed I kept training.”
“But ultimately it’s Dad who gets the credit. I try and get out as much as I can,” she says, “but I think in the end I really have to give it up to my genes.”
This flick stars Hilary Swank as a female amateur boxer training to make her mark on the boxing scene.
“Problem is, this is the only thing I ever felt good doing. If I’m too old for this then I got nothing. Is that enough truth to suit you? They asked me to put on 10 pounds of muscle and I put on approximately 20 pounds of muscle. Just because I really wanted it to be believable. “That entailed:
- Drinking egg whites;
- Drinking flax oil;
- Eating every hour and a half;
- Waking up in the middle of the night and drinking protein shakes.
She continued: “I have a really high metabolism. Exercise is also really important to me. “I think it gives me more energy. I would rather sleep six hours and get an hour workout than sleep seven hours. Thought calorie counts are listed for Hilary Swanks diet, Garcia emphasizes that this is not a calorie-based plan.
“And now I’m glad that’s all behind me.”
Hilary Swank diet plan:
Breakfast: 1 hole egg + 2 egg whites, tomato and spinach Omelette , 1 cup fresh berries.
Snack: protein shake
Lunch: 6 jumbo shrimp with mixed greens, ½ small avocado.
Snack: 1 slice 9-grain bread with peanut butter and 1 tbsp. fruit jam.
Dinner: chicken with rice and beans, 1 cup steamed vegetables.
Dessert: fresh fruit salad.
Hilary says the training was extreme. ”It’s the hardest most challenging workout you can ever, ever experience, ever. And I’m really athletic.”
The training worked it is magic. As Hilary won a best actress Oscar for the role.
